CLARIFICATION ON THE SAFETY OF THE USE OF IBUPROFEN IN THE CONTEXT OF SARS-COV-2 CORONAVIRUS INFECTION  (MARCH 15)

Of note is the information note prepared by CatSalut on the safety of the use of ibuprofen in the context of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection. We attach the link where you can find the note: http://canalsalut.gencat.cat/web/.content/_A-Z/C/coronavirus-2019-ncov/material-divulgatiu/nota-informativa-aines-coronavirus.pdf. It is important to share it to refute information that can be confusing and cause unnecessary and false alarm to the public. There is currently no new evidence or reason to establish a contraindication to ibuprofen as a treatment for minor symptoms, if used in accordance with the recommendations in the data sheet, at the recommended doses and for short periods. It should be remembered that paracetamol is a suitable therapeutic alternative.
